About two days later however, the wireless worked fine. Now, I have downloaded the recommended BIOS upgrade and had no luck initially. I know there are several posts on this topic indicating that the MOBO is to blame and that HP will fix the problem but it worked flawlessly for 8 months! It only stopped working when I installed the D-Link DWA-642 software. No question marks, exclamation marks, etc. Now the Wireless Adapter is no longer recognized by the pc.

I have an HP Pavilion DV6402CA and the Wireless Adapter has been working fine for the past 8 months.
